Who's behind Who's the Rat?
We're Mel, Harriet, and Toby — a mum and two kids from Wellington, New Zealand, with a cupboard full of board games and strong opinions about all of them.
Family games night is serious business in our house. We've played a lot of games over the years, which means we know exactly what makes a great one: the right mix of fun, competitive, clever, and just enough rivalry to make someone dramatically storm out of the room.
Who's the Rat? started as a scribbled idea, got tested on paper at the kitchen table, and slowly turned into something we couldn't stop playing. Harriet is nine and takes the bluffing very seriously. Toby is seven and is suspiciously good at catching the Rat. Mum mostly just tries to keep the peace.
